Disaffiliations in Avanza after the escape of Ramiro González

Posted On 21 Aug 2017

Ecuadornews:

Fanny Uribe, vice president and former legislator of Avanza; Bayron Pacheco, a national secretary general, and former legislator; several provincial leaders and former candidates in the last elections will officialize their disaffiliation of the Avanza party, in the coming days.
The trigger for the “crisis” of this party (established by Ramiro González in 2012) is the prosecution of its top leader and president, former Minister of Industries and former president of the Board of Directors of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS) for the alleged offense of tax fraud, and unjustified enrichment. His wife Carmen G. is also involved in the allegations. (I)
