Disagreements in PAIS cracked the leadership

Criticisms of the leader Pierina Correa to several sectional pre-candidacies in Guayas, including that of the Minister of sport, José Francisco Cevallos, and Assembly member Denisse Robles, have generated the reaction of the national direction of Alianza Pais (AP).

Assembly member María Alejandra Vicuña, Member of the political Commission in Guayas, said that any discrepancy must be resolved in accordance with the regulations and statutes of the organization and due process will be followed in every case, regarding possible sanctions.

She pointed out that “the regulation is clear” and that the Commission of ethics and discipline, chaired by Carlos Marx Carrasco,  must analyze the case. “It is the Commission which is un charge of reviewing this type of failures, a failure which, in the view of some colleagues of the National Directorate, is serious because it is am issue that must be handled internally,” in allusion to the position of Pierina Correa.

Pierina Correa, when knowing the candidacy of Cevallos for Mayor of Milagro, said that he “is the  worst and biggest enemy of the province of Guayas”. About Robles, on the other hand she  said that she uses her position of Assembly memeber as a trampoline”.

“Those expressions not only that they are far from the practices that we have in Alianza PAIS, but they correspond exclusively to Pierina Correa, who must give explanations of the case. It is a personal opinion with which we are not in agreement,”said Vicuna.

For his part, Assembly member Juan Carlos Cassinelli, also member of the political Commission in Guayas, clarified that a summary has not been opened, but if her behavior is being investigated.
