Discomfort for the reincorporation of María Alejandra Vicuña to the SRI despite being accused of concussion
Ecuadornews:

The former vice-president of Ecuador, María Alejandra Vicuña, who is currently being investigated by the Prosecutor for the alleged crime of concussion, has been reinstated after 9 years to the Internal Revenue Service. (SRI for its acronym in Spanish)
Vicuña appeared to work in the Zonal Directorate of Guayas on Wednesday, December 26, just when she had finished the term for her last 15-day license, this was confirmed by the director of the SRI, Marisol Andrade, to the newspaper El Universo.
The director also explained that Vicuña is a career officer (with appointment) since 2007 and that in 2009 she accepted the right of public servants that indicates they can request a license without remuneration to participate in elections, from the day of their registration, and then for the period that they are chosen.
Andrade recalled that in 2017 she asked for a Service Commission to occupy the Ministry of Housing and, months later, a license for the Vice Presidency of the Republic. Additionally, when the Assembly accepted her resignation on December 7, she had to reintegrate, but she requested a new license for personal matters and she was granted 15 more days. (I)
