Doctors protest at the same time as the officialism

Rejecting Article 146 of the Criminal Code (COIP,) about one thousand doctors protested outside the Ministry of Health yesterday.

“We Can’t give guarantees  because we do not sell appliances, we are doctors,” said the posters of medical residents from the Andrade Marin Hospital while they were protesting in the streets.

At the same time, supporters of Alianza PAIS got together in the Plaza Grande and settled on the exteriors of the governorship in demonstration of support to the new legal standard. President  Rafael Correa was the one who summoned the demonstrators  in order to receive support.

While in San Francisco de Quito hospital, administered by the IESS, aprons were placed on the outside in protest.

It is estimated that the project will be definitely approved in the Assembly today, once the partial objection sent by the Executive is processed.
