Drug “H” seduces teenagers aged 14 to 17 years old

Today, the Board of the Council on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (CONSEP for its Spanish acronym) will announce proposals on the revision of the table of drug trafficking to be sent immediately to the Assembly.
Patricio Zapata, national director of Control of Drug Demand, pointed out two paths for the processing of the initiative. The first is a comprehensive reform of the Criminal Organic Comprehensive Code (COIP) in the minimum scale level. The other way is that the issue is part of the reforms to the Law on Control of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, that is being processed in the Health Commission. The decision will be up to the Assembly, he said.
He said that the changes to the table will be stronger and more dramatic in the case of heroin without neglecting the revision of the amounts of other substances.
In case of consume, the idea would be to declare zero grams for heroin and the other drugs would be maintained, but in smaller quantities. (I)
