Drug operations in two provinces leave 14 detainees

Fourteen people were arrested in operations conducted early yesterday in Manta and Esmeraldas, against an organization that supplied fuel to boats leaving from Tumaco, Colombia, loaded with narcotics.
This was explained by Nelson Vela, Attorney General of the Special Unit Against Organized Crime based in Guayaquil, who led the operations in the Manabi port. The judicial official said that since 2014 The investigation began to determine the identity of a group that was organized in a structured way to provide fuel for the boats that allegedly came out with drugs from Tumaco to Central American countries.
