DSK Case: Straushh-Kahn Was Given Back his Passport
Posted On 25 Aug 2011
Former IMF director, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who has not been able to leave the US since May, was given back his passport after the sexual assualt charges were dropped.
Strauss-Kahn, 62, said he cannot wait to return to France. He had been held under restrictive bail conditions in New York since May, when a 32-year-old hotel maid, Nafissatou Diallo, accused him of sexually assaulting her.
DNA evidence proves there was a sexual encounter between the two, however, DSK’s lawyers maintained it was consensual and prosecutors were unable to determine whether force had been used since they concerned about Diallo’s credibility.
