“I am infinitely grateful for the presence of the President of Ecuador. Today we have challenges and challenges that must be assumed by opening the borders, “said Castillo.
The meeting also addressed issues such as recovery from the pandemic, fishing, contamination of the Tumbes River and the desire to establish immediate practices, such as binational cabinets. Castillo showed his interest in acquiring the experience of Ecuador in the cultivation of flowers.
Later, Lasso met with the president of Chile, Sebastián Piñera . According to the Secretariat General of Communication of the Presidency, at the meeting they discussed mechanisms of regional integration, economic recovery strategies to address the pandemic and plan of vaccination.
“We are very happy to be with President Lasso, with whom we are going to join forces so that our peoples have the future they deserve,” said Piñera.
