Earthquake of 4.2 degrees in Quito

Yesterday, at 19:04, an earthquake of 4.2 degrees in the Richter scale shook the capital. The epicenter was located 17.3 km in southeast Quito, in Sangolquí.

The quake, which according to the Geophysical Institute was 12 km depth, was felt in different sectors of the capital city and in the surrounding valleys.

No material damages nor injured people were registered.
