Ecuador aims to attract 2.9 million tourists by 2025

A high goal, the Government expects the influx of about 2.9 million tourists in Ecuador.
But hotelier and former president of the Salinas Chamber of Tourism Otón Arboleda said that in order to achieve that goal it is necessary to make an inventory of the products the country can offer to promote them. Being an example of this the Ecuadorian gastronomy, not known in the world.
The strategy to attract more travelers was approved by the Sectorial Council of Production and has five cornerstones: security, destinations, and products, quality, connectivity, and investment. Likewise, 18 destinations of high potential for the development of tourism will be prioritized, among them Cuyabeno, Galapagos, Baños de Agua Santa and the Machalilla National Park.
