Ecuador has requested more time to the International Monetary Fund before it makes public its annual report on economic performance and which includes an adjustment prescription.

Ecuadorian authorities have asked an extension to the multilateral agency to decide on whether the report and the corresponding press release is published this year, as it is stated in the website of the IMF.

This report provides a compilation of all the economic indicators of the country and also proposes certain adjustments to enhance its performance.

Although the IMF report is ready, it has not been yet disclosed. In fact, both parties discussed on July 8, the same day the multilateral agency also had to decide whether it granted Ecuador a line of rapid financing in order to assist the reconstruction of the most affected provinces after the earthquake of April 16. The agenda was fulfilled and the organization, based in Washington (USA), approved a $ 364 million loan without conditions or adjustments by the country.
