Ecuador expresses “joy” for ceasefire in Colombia

Foreign Minister Guillaume Long expressed his “joy” for the signing of an agreement on the definitive ceasefire between the government of Colombia and the guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) this June 23, 2016 in Havana.
Colombia and the FARC, the main Colombian guerrillas, agreed on a bilateral ceasefire after half a century of armed conflicts, the disarmament and concentration of fighters, in addition to agreeing on a mechanism to endorse the final peace agreement.
