MTOP and Municipality of Guayaquil will agree on the Seaport dredging
Mayor of Guayaquil Jaime Nebot yesterday announced an international public tender for the dredging of the access canal (90 kilometers) of the Guayaquil Seaport and its private terminals.
“This is to facilitate the tender and complementarity in all ports of Guayaquil and to guarantee its operation and maintenance services, at no cost to the central or local state for the state,” Nebot said.
He explained that the decision of tendering the entire canal and not just the area called Los Goles, a process that the council was already bidding, was made after the approval of the Minister of Transport and Public Works Walter Solis, who delegated the responsibility to the municipality for the completion of the tender.
