Ecuador Opened a New Train Stretch
The Ministers of Tourism, Freddy Ehlers, and Heritage Coordinator, Maria Fernanda Espinosa, inaugurated the 13 miles stretch of the train that runs along “Nariz del Diablo”, and had already begun to operate 2 weeks ago.
With around a hundred of local people, as well as guests, the act developed at Alausí station. Ehlers said that they were returning the work of Eloy Alfaro which seemed impossible to put back into circulation.
This train makes three trips daily from Tuesday to Sunday from Alausí station at 08:00, 11:00, and 15:00.
The cost of the travel (round trip) is $20. For tourists from Guayaquil and Durán, it is possible to purchase tickets on the rail complex in Durán (Gilbert and Abel Ponce Enríquez).
