Ecuador reached more than 12 million in business expectations at Fruit Logística Berlin

During the meeting, Ecuadorian banana tastings were held in three supermarkets in Berlin, in different presentations such as fresh banana, in smoothies and combined with oatmeal, chocolate nibs, among other ingredients.
Ecuador reached more than 12 million in business estimates after the meeting Fruit Logística Berlin (Germany). This, after Pro Ecuador, together with eight companies, offered bananas and non-traditional fruits such as uvilla, pineapple and pitahaya.
This showcase reached a record number of 3,100 exhibitors from 84 countries. Fruit Logistica is the most important fair of fresh fruits and vegetables worldwide. This year, it was visited by around 75 thousand trade actors from about 130 countries, reported Pro Ecuador.
The Ecuadorian delegation was led by Roberto Intriago, executive director of Pro Ecuador, as well as representatives of banana guilds and the Embassy of Ecuador in Germany. Intriago explained that participation was paramount since it reinforces Ecuador’s positioning in the European market.
Participating firms attended the 3 de Julio Farmers’ Association, Hoyos-Garcés, Ceiconsa, Produtankay, Ecuafields, Organpit, Donatella Ecuador Donatecua and Toty Banana. “I leave here very motivated, I hope you continue to invite us to different international fairs, because this is a big window from Ecuador to the world,” said Marlene Farez, representative of the 3 de Julio Farmers’ Association.
