Ecuador rejects Israel’s attack on Syria
Ecuador expressed its rejection to the bombing of Israel against Syria, said so last Monday Ecuadorian Deputy Foreign Minister, Marco Albuja, after Sunday’s attacks that took the lives of at least 42 Syrians, according to an NGO in that country.
“We express our deep concern and rejection by the attack of Israeli armed forces on Syrian soil. Bombing is not looking for peace,” said Albuja through his Twitter account. Adding, “we are a people of peace, whose government defends human beings, for them it is incomprehensible to live in constant horror and of terror.”
At the same time, the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry maintains its position that dialogue is the only way to find lasting peace in Syria and find it unacceptable the violence against civilians no matter where it comes from.
At least 42 Syrian soldiers were killed and a hundred more are unaccounted for another This was announced to AFP on Monday by Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights after the Israeli attack carried out early on last Sunday on three military positions north of Damascus.
