Ecuador Wins Gold and Silver Medal in Skate and Powerlifting

Skater Ingrid Factos won a silver medal for Ecuador in the 500 meters of speed in the World Figure Skating Championship performed in Yeosu, South Korea. Factos earned the fourth place in the 300 meters with a speed time of 27,003.

Several days ago, Michelle Cevallos, from Quito, Ecuador; earned the first place in the 52kg. in the category of the World Championship of Power Lift in Canada. The Ecuadorian defeated rivals from Germany, Austria, and Japan.

Cevallos made a sit-up bench press with 80kg. and 157.5kg in max press, with a total of 395kg she obtained the world crown. Cevallos will be arriving to Ecuador this Thursday at 15.30. (AV)
