Yesterday afternoon, Ecuadorian tennis player, Julio Campozano, defeated Peruvian Tennis Player Duilio Beretta by 7-6, 4-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-0 in the Davis Cup series held at the Lawn Tennis Club in Lima, keeping Ecuador in Group 1 of the American Zone.

In the first set, the Ecuadorian started took advantage but maintained the same level in the second and third. However in the last two sets, the Ecuadorian recovered and overcame his rival, to achieve the point of definition of 3-1 cards.

The tournament began last September 14, with the triumph of Emilio Gomez against Beretta (5-7, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4). The second game was won by Campozano (7-6, 6-3, 6-4) to Mauritius Echazú. In doubles, the Peruvian duet beat the Ecuadorians bye 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.
