Ecuadorian Companies Must Obtain Licenses to Import

Jaime Cucalón, president of the Ecuadorian Automotive Association, confirmed that five hundred ninety-six companies must obtain import licenses because of a new requirement made by the Ecuadorian Foreign Trade Committee (Comex).

These companies are buying abroad 51 subheadings (product category). Refrigerators, freezers, mobile phones, CKD (auto parts), vehicles (including hybrids), tires, among others are their products. (BG)
