Ecuadorian Government will pay for Adulterated Liquor

Starting today the Government will pay $0,80 for each bottle of adulterated liquor. The Minister of Health, David Chiriboga, informed that this measure will be taken in order to avoid any more deaths since the number of casualties has increased to 48 in the whole country.

The official estimated that around 500 thousand liters are circulating in the markets. The Government has disposed of 400 thousand dollars to make this purchase.

The Ministry of Health would be receiving the bottles or boxes with adulterated liquor in several of its branches. The Government will purchase the liquor with a $0,80 voucher, which will be exchanged for money from September 7 to 16. (AV)
