Ecuadorian police information was hacked by Anonymous

Last night it was confirmed that the database of the National Police of Ecuador was infiltrated by the hacker group called Anonymous, after punish warnings of the Ecuadorian government.

The message left in the website of the Municipality of Guayaquil showed a link that allowed the access to a database from alleged police members. Later on in the same website they posted a YouTube message where they announced that they had “decided to launch Operación Cóndor Libre” in response to the “injustice” committed against Newspaper El Universo and also to “fight against media censorship your country “. They blamed President Rafael Correa for these actions.

Jaime Guerrero, Minister of Telecommunications, said the Intelligence Ministry along with Korean experts, is investigating the origin of that message. (BG)
