Ecuadorian President Proposes Environmental Plan to the UN

President Rafael Correa and the UN Secretary Ban Ki-moon will lead a meeting to promote a plan in Ecuador against Global Warming. The event would be performed on September 23 in New York.

Ivonne Baki, the responsible of the Yasuni-ITT initiative, informed to the foreign correspondents that the invitations would be sent to all the presidents that are members of the UN.

The event focuses on 15 countries like Germany and France, who are interested in the Yasuni-ITT plan. However the meeting will also focus on businessmen and philanthropist that want to participate in this project. (AV)
