Ecuadorian state spent $ 1 million in travels of Assembly members
In the first six months of 2015 the Ecuadorian State funded 61 travels abroad of assembly members and hundreds of mobilizations within the country at a cost of $ 970 thousand per allowances, air tickets and subsistences for legislators to fulfill their tasks of dissemination, representation, accompaniment and parliamentary integration.
When traveling abroad assembly members they go accompanied. Gabriela Rivadeneira (PAIS), for example, went to Bolivia in May, accompanied by eight officers, two to coordinate her agenda, two for safety, one to photograph her, one for coverage of her activities, an adviser and an Assemblyman.
Of the 87 legislators who, in recent months, have left the country, only four are representatives of the opposition.
To justify these trips, the assembly members submit, when they are back, a report of achievements.
