Ecuadorian technician Octavio Zambrano is finalist with the DIM
Ecuadornews:

Under the command of Ecuadorian coach Octavio Zambrano, Deportivo Independiente de Medellín will play the final of Colombian soccer against Junior of Barranquilla.
Sharks and paisas will dispute the league title in round-trips on December 2 and 8, respectively.
The DIMbeat Tolima 2-0 and the Barranquilla box equaled 1 with Rionegro, in duels made on Sunday.
The Barranquilla team was the first to qualify, when they equalized at home against Águilas Doradas with a 4-3 aggregate in their favor, while the powerful left out the current champions in Tolima with a 4-2 aggregate.
As inthe first leg against Rionegro, where they conceded two goals in the last stretch of the game, the Barranquilla players went ahead with a goal by James Sánchez in the 19th minute, but they received a goal from Daniel Muñoz in the47th that put them against the wall.
Although the aggressiveness they displayed throughout the season almost paid off with as hot by Jarlan Barrera that crashed on the post at minute 78, it could also be his downfall, with a couple of clear chances that Rionegro had to match the series. However, the men of the Colombian-Uruguayan Julio Comesaña, and in particular the poisonous Teófilo Gutiérrez, Luis Díaz and Barrera, did what was necessary to keep their goal.
Independiente Medellín took advantage of the good run of his goalkeeper Germán Cano to open the scoring in the 59th minute and Juan Fernando Caicedo sentenced in 76 with the 2-0.
The expulsion of the local Rafael Carrascal by double yellow in 62 showered the last hopes of the players of Alberto Gamero. There was even time for the Paisas, led by the Ecuadorian Octavio Zambrano, to enlarge the difference in the complicated Tolima court.
Cano leads the scoring charts with 18 points, ahead of Marco Pérez (17), of Deportes Tolima. Independiente Medellín seeks to raise its seventh cup.
“Ican tell the fan that we are going to work so we can turn around at Atanasio because that is our dream,” said the Ecuadorian coach. (D)
