Ecuadorian Tourists Leave Egypt
Posted On 04 Feb 2011
Due to the internal fighting among the opposition and the supporters of the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, Ecuadorian residents living in Egypt managed to get out of the troubled country on Wednesday and Thursday, informed the Ambassador of Ecuador, Edwin Johnson.
Most of the 80 Ecuadorians in the African country were women married to Egyptians with whom they have created homes and a life of their own, informed the diplomat on Citynoticias radio show of Guayaquil.
The only remaining Ecuadorians in the country are families that have expressed their desire to stay. The Embassy told their fellow countrymen that if they are going to stay they must gather supplies and medicines so that they can avoid leaving their homes.
