Education Directorate removed 61 officials

The officials, who belonged to the Department of Hispanic and Bilingual Education of Sucumbios, were removed from office through the deletion of items ordered by the Ministry of Education.

Each officer will receive between $ 25 and $ 38 thousand for compensation. In the coming days it is expected that 30 more officials are to be removed.

Milton Patiño, district director of Education of Lago Agrio, explained that according to the 20-12 ministerial agreement and the resolution of February 14, the Ministry of Labour Relations, they must carry out the liquidation of the provincial departments of Education, including its officials.

Patiño also reported that after the settlement, the four education districts in Sucumbios will come in force. Each district will have a maximum of 22 staff members.
