Electoral registration will be displayed on the website of the CNE for 15 days
The National Electoral Council (CNE) will begin the debugging process of the Electoral Register for fifteen days from tomorrow until September 21, so that citizens can make the administrative claims to consider and correct in the appropriate cases.
To do this, the minister Magdala Villacis explained that a link on the website of the CNE (www.cne.gob.ec) will be enabled, so that people can check if their data base is correct.
“People who feel aggrieved or if there has been an error in the information, can rectify it” she added.
Villacis said that during these fifteen days, the CNE may also initiate audits to know if there is a movement of more than 10% of the population that has changed electoral address, to verify information provided, going home and talking with the neighbors.
On October 2 the information will be sealed of the Electoral Registry. At the time, the CNE has calculated more than 13.1 million voters, but the number may vary depending on the results of the purification, according to Villacis.
