Embassy of Ecuador apologizes for the ‘deception’ of the Pianist Maschietto
The Embassy of Ecuador in Germany, publicly apologized for the deception of Jose Miguel Maschietto, who had been a candidate for Honorary Consul of Ecuador in the Czech Republic.
Through a statement, it was explained that a following investigation could not confirm the accuracy of the resume of Maschietto.
“In several occasions, the Embassy of Ecuador in Germany asked Mr. Maschietto to present the backup of his resume. Mr. Machietto said that such information was being prepared, and to this date it has not been received. Therefore, the embassy said that it has been duped by Mr. Maschietto and presents the apologies for the inconvenience caused,” said the statement.
Maschietto, an alleged Italian pianist from Ecuador, 29, faces a scandal for lying on his resume. In a viral video circulating on the Internet, produced by Indioalzado Productions, it can be seen how Maschietto mentions the name of prestigious European institutions to improve his resume, and then the same institutions deny having met the Ecuadorian pianist.
Maschietto was honored by the Ecuadorian Embassy in Germany, in the presence of leader of the regime, Rafael Correa during the president’s tour through Europe in April.
