Emelec beats Manta by 4-1 and remains as favorite

The match at the Capwell Stadium with around 12 000 participants was characterized by the expulsion of three players from Manta soccer  club, which facilitated the triumph for the blue team. The goals were achieved by Pedro Quinonez, at minute 23; Enner Valencia, in the 55th with a penalty kick, Marcos Mondaini, at 58 minutes, and Marlon De Jesus, at 64 minutes. Manta temporarily tied at minute 55.

With this victory, Emelec is temporarily in first place and if it continues in that place until the end of the phase, they will win the title without playing the final.

In other matches that were played yesterday, Deportivo Quito won 2-1 to Deportivo Quevedo at the Atahualpa Stadium,  Liga de Quito won 3-0 to Deportivo Cuenca, during his visit to Alejandro Serrano Aguilar Stadium, and El Nacional tied 1-1 in Ambato against Macará.

Today Universidad Católica will face Barcelona in Quito and Independiente will  receive Liga de Loja.
