Nebot announces possible road constructions
Due to the Guayaquil Festivities, its mayor Jaime Nebot has carried out several inaugurations of outstanding works and a dozens of arts and civic activities that commemorate the city of Guayaquil.
Among these activities, Nebot revealed a major project which has not finished its development, although its current analysis starts with the plans to demonstrate its feasibility. Its about elevated transportation, which will complement the current Metrovia project.
The mayor said that this service will benefit people in the northwest of Guayaquil, as well as the highway bus terminal-Pascuales, the av. Francisco de Orellana, the route Duale-La Aurora, Samborondon and Duran.
Throgh a radio broadcast, Nebot acknowledged that there is still a “prototype” and that everything is subject to market studies, and that “the viability of the project depends on the number of users.”
“The more users, the lower the cost (…) When the studies are completed and there’s a full result, we’ll see the possibility of implementing the complementary branch of the Metrovia,” he said.
