Entrepeneurs do not agree with the whole Optimization of the workday and Unemployment Insurance bill, a legislation that seeks to protect jobs.
The Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce (GCC) believes that any initiative to keep jobs must be agreed between the government, the workers and the business sector. They believe that to solve the underlying problem it is necessary to reactivate trade, through concrete measures: eliminating the payment of income tax, opening business opportunities through trade agreements and reduce red tape. This would generate certainty and confidence in the business sector.
According to the Chamber is unfair that in order to distribute profits to shareholders, managers must pay employees for a few hours that were never worked. (I)
