Ernesto González did not talk about the events of 30-S in the presentation of his book

Posted On 16 Jan 2015

ernesto gonzalezThe former police chief Ernesto González chose not refer to the events of 30-S at the launch of his book “Testimony of a commander” (Testimonio de un comandante, for its Spanish name), despite the fact that in previous days his statements about police the revolt caused controversy.

González, who as General Commander of the Armed Forces, was in charge of the rescue of President Rafael Correa from the Police Hospital, in earlier days generated immediate reactions of the Regime by disproving its official thesis: the kidnapping of the Head of State on 30- S.

In the presentation of the book, before politicians, military and assistants, he said he would not talk of 30-S because there had already been enough discussion during the first four days of the week.
