FARC Delays Release of Hostages
The humanitarian mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the release of Colombian hostages await an improvement of the weather to send a search team for the group of policemen and military that are going to be released by FARC.
These men are the last uniformed hostages released by the guerrilla group. The mission was supposed to start at 08h00 (13h00 GMT) from the Villavicencio airport (110 km South of Bogota) to pick them up at some point in the jungle. However the strong rains have delayed their exit.
Piedad Cordoba the facilitator of the process informed that they would have to wait awhile to start the search for their release, which will be made in two stages, Monday and Wednesday. Cordoba informed that they have recently received the coordinates of the place where the hostages would be released. (AV)
