FCNH: Microenterprises Find New Opportunities in Ecuador
In Ecuador, New Humanity Foundation (FCNH for its Spanish acronym), is helping many people to begin and maintain their own businesses in order to bring comfort to their families and their community.
Such is the case of Vicente Jurado, an independent worker who has worked for more than 30 years manufacturing and fixing wheelchairs. Four years ago Crusade for a New Humanity Foundation helped Vicente with a $500 loan. With this money he recovered the capital he lost during a crime wave that victimized him in the past. Today Vicente continues to contribute to the development of his community with his workshop in the streets Babahoyo and Camilo Destruge.
Another example is Joseph Zancan, who received support from the Foundation three years ago with a loan of $ 800 to increase the productivity of his business. Zancan achieved his goal in his garment, business and school uniform microenterprise.
Crusade for a New Humanity Foundation, a philanthropic entity financed by Alvaro Noboa, has been helping for more than three decades the more needed sectors of Ecuador. (AV)
