Felipao is happy with his level
Felipe Caicedo, better known by Ecuadorians as ‘Felipao’ said he feels happy to be a protagonist with the Ecuadorian national team in the current round.
It should not be forgotten that Reinaldo Rueda not summoned Caicedo to the first matches after his performance in the American Cup of 2011, but the lack of goals in the Ecuadorean attack was evident so Rueda decided to summon his least favorite player and he has responded with goals and has been a key player in the last games of Ecuador in the qualifying rounds.
With four goals in three matches, Felipao returned in September, after 14 months of absence, and now is the reference in the field of the Tricolor team, who is waiting to receive Paraguay.
In the last qualifying, in ten matches Caicedo scored only one goal (a victory against Bolivia 3-1); and his performance was criticized, but the striker said that this strengthened his character.
Felipao rated the game with Paraguay as a complicated match and called Paraguay a “very respected” team.
