The National Assembly President, Fernando Cordero, revealed last Friday to the opposition parties, that he will use his authority to organize a new Media Bill voting session at any time, clause by clause.

Although, this week, there were two failed attempts to meet the government target of having a bill that imposes regulations to the press, the Alianza Pais Party (AP) have not given up its goal of gathering a majority to support the text.

For that, the government continues talks with allied independent assembly members.

At the end of the session last Friday, Cordero explained that to reinstall this session, certain conditions must meet, like previous announcements or a calling.

However, he confirmed that in the moment that all legislators who support this bill are present, he could reactivate the voting session. MZ
