FIFA Accepts a Woman on its Executive Committee

FIFA accepts, for the first time in history, a woman on its executive committee, incorporating today Lydia Nsekera as president of the Football Association of Burundi.
Nsekera will take office during the celebration of the Second FIFA Medical Conference, which will be held this May 23 and 24 in Budapest.
Also the italian-swiss Domenico Scala was appointed independent chairman of the Audit and Accordance Comission; and the authorization for the use of pyrotechnics in the stadiums was unanimously rejected. (ARL)
