Fifteenth fugitive from La Roca gets recaptured in Peru

Yesterday at noon, the interior minister, Jose Serrano, confirmed through his Twitter account, the recapture of Stalin Jorge Guaranda Cedillo, aka “Garfield”, one of the 18 prisoners who escaped from the rehabilitation center of Guayaquil, known as “La Roca” (The Rock), on last February 11.

Guaranda Cedillo was arrested in the city of Arequipa, southern Peru. “The number 15 of the escapees from La Roca, have been recaptured just now in Arequipa, by the Peruvian police, with information from the DGI (General Directorate of Intelligence) of Ecuador,” said Serrano.

The fugitive was paying a 25-year sentence for the murder of Darwin Fabian Mina Mosquera, in 2011.

There are three left to be recaptured: Eddy Castro, Eduardo Vasquez and Jorge Zambrano.

Three fugitives are missing
