Film festival begins today in Cuenca Orchid

From today until November 22 will be the Third Film Festival ‘The Orchid,’ organized by the Provincial Government of Azuay. The scenarios for the exhibition are the theater Carlos Cueva Tamariz Multiplex rooms and entry is free.

The film “Europe Report,” the Ecuadorian filmmaker Sebastian Cordero, the Festival open competition and participate in the Latin American debut category.

Will be presented 49 films, of which 28 will compete for the Orchid . Within competitive national enrolled twelve labors, mostly in the categories of feature films and Latin American debut.

Tapes also participate Spain, Sweden, Brazil and production of France, Portugal, Brazil and Germany.

The jury of the work, shall consist of the Ecuadorian Victor Arregui, Isabel Carrasco Escobar, Alexandra Cuesta and James Roldós; Charlone and Uruguayans César Sandino Saravia, the Argentine Spanish Alejandro Fadel and Anna Marie de la Fuente and Mane Cisneros Manrique. The awards will be made by the category on November 22, in the closing ceremony of the festival.
