Finally the Election Board of Guayas ended the last analysis of the ballots with inconsistencies or delayed, so they can now deliver the results to the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) and to the representatives of political organizations.
As of Pichincha the official results are still unknown. According to the Provincial Office, the Electoral Board is working hard. Even if they take the whole day they will get the results today at 17:00.
Once the results are notified to political groups, they have 48 hours to file any objections. Then they will be able to challenge and appeal.
It should be noted that these results will not be 100% of the elections, as three counties in the province of Guayas have to repeat the elections on next March 23. In parishes from six other provinces the elections are going to be repeated over irregularities. Specifically in Tungurahua, Esmeraldas, Napo, Azuay, Imbabura and Manabi.
