First tests confirm that Neruda died of cancer
According to the results of the first tests performed on the remains of the Chilean writer, Pablo Neruda, it was concluded that the poet died of advanced and metastatic prostate cancer.
According to the report of radiological and histological examinations conducted by the Forensic Medical Service of Chile, a line of the investigation suggests that Neruda died of metastasis from his cancer.
However, a second line indicates that the death was caused by the intervention of a third person when he was hospitalized in the Santa Maria of Santiago Clinic, days after the military coup of 1973.
