Four-year-old Ecuadorian boy was murdered in Mexico

A four-year-old Ecuadorian boy was murdered in Mexico while traveling with his family to the United States.

Hitmen attacked the vehicle where the minor was riding, in the border state of Sonora, municipality of Sáric, near Arizona.

The Foreign Ministry reported that the Consulate of Ecuador in Monterrey is working with the Mexican authorities on the case, in which other Ecuadorians were also affected.

“This Consular Office is monitoring the health status of the mother, who is hospitalized,” he said.

The other family members are, for now, in a shelter in the city of Hermosillo, where they receive medical attention and food.

The Consulate in Monterrey is constantly monitoring the case, the entity insisted.
