From Monday, November 13, the new customs control service rate for imports will apply

The National Customs Service of Ecuador (Senae) has decided to implement a customs control service fee of ten cents per imported unit, which will apply from Monday, November 13.
“The the resolution is based on the need to strengthen the customs control service, to combat smuggling and fraud,” the Senae said in a statement.
Senae adds that “the rate will be applied to all products entering the country with specific exceptions such as: personal belongings of travelers, technical aids, donations, relief shipments, among others.” (I)
