Glas defense announces that he will call Rafael Correa as witness

Eduardo Franco lawyer of Jorge Glas, has announced that he will ask that President Rafael Correa attend as a witness to the trial that is still against his client, after the morning of this Monday he former Legal Secretary of the Presidency, Alexis Mera made his declaration, journalist Marietta Campaña has reported on her Twitter account.
Franco has justified the call to Correa in which Mera has mentioned him “four times” in his testimony, and said that this afternoon he had spoken by telephone with him, former president, on tour in Manabí, after returning from Belgium, for ten days, last Saturday.
Prosecutor Carlos Baca Mancheno has also advanced that Correa’s testimony was already excluded by the judge of the National Court Miguel Jurado. (I)
