Glas’s former advisor denounces him for harassment

Glas is one of three investigated for alleged irregularities in the awarding of a construction contract.
According to Padilla in her complaint, while she was Glas’s secretary, and was married to another person, the former vice president pressured her to maintain a love relationship to which she always refused. She now maintains a romantic relationship with the current assemblyman of the Citizen Revolution for Guayas, Ferdinan Álvarez, until recently, head of the Correísta bench.
In his lawsuit, Padilla accuses Glas of having spread the rumor, among the assembly members of the Citizen Revolution, that “assembly member Ferdinan Álvarez has taken his wife away from him,” and finally of directing a boycott against Álvarez, who had been chosen by former president Rafael Correa as the new coordinator of the bench of newly elected assembly members.
