The government has modified via regulations, the obligation contained in the solidarity law for lawyers to disclose to the Internal Revenue Service if their customers are owners of companies in tax havens. The Regulation provides that such obligation will only be required within a process of tax determination, and secondarily, when the taxpayer has not delivered this information directly to the tax authority.
1,124 people responded to a recent survey conducted in Twitter by La Republica, which states that 79% of those responding to the question believe that lawyers should not reveal the secrets of their clients.
