Government Points Out the Uprising Responsible
Government points out the people responsible for the Police Uprising, among them is the participation of form President Lucio Gutiérrez. Last Thursday President Correa accused him of being responsible; he repeated this statement Saturday. Gutiérrez showed himself during an interview on Globo Vision, where he said that the socialism of Ecuador would end when Correa is gone.
Guilmar Gutiérrez and members of the Group “Madera de Guerrero” Enrique Herrería y Andrés Roche are being accused of supporting the rebel policemen when they asked amnesty for the officers in the Main Assembly. Pablo Guerrero was accused by the Government on Sunday for helping Gutiérrez interrupting the signal of Ecuador TV.
Fidel Araujo, a man of Gutiérrez confidence is suspected of giving orders to the Police officers in the Police Hospital by cell phone.
Spokesman Carlos Vera is believed to have motivated the civilians on an anarchy rampage, and was accused of congratulating the policemen for their uncivil actions. Lourdes Tibán, Pachakutik is also believed to have called the officers to say, “Well done officers and military soldier, well done.”
Luis Villacís, was accused of leading the incidents outside of the Assembly from within a police vehicle. The Regiment accuses Ciro Guzmán for giving orders to the presidential escort when it was outside of the Police Hospital.
Katiuska King, Ministry of Politic and Economic Coordination, assured yesterday that after the police uprising many economic groups are dissatisfied with the restructuration the Government is doing.
