Government will seek to specify $ 7 billion for Refinery
Deputy Minister of Strategic Sectors, Augusto Espin, will travel accompanied by a delegation of Ecuador in 15 days, with the purpose of advance and specify the negotiations with China, and get $ 7 billion for the construction of the Pacific Refinery in Manabi.
Strategic Sectors Minister, Rafael Poveda official confirmed the trip and spoke of the benefits of Electric Law proposed last Wednesday afternoon, upon leaving the Economic Development Commission.
Poveva mentioned that are in the final stage of financial closure of the project. “It lacks specifics, legal part, financial details, the bank asks a lot of information, (…) but we’re positive…” he said.
The Pacific refinery would process 300,000 barrels of oil for the production of gasoline, diesel, liquefied petroleum gases and petrochemicals.
