“Green Awards 2022” awards these exciting projects.
Green Awards, the non-profit organization that recognizes and rewards environmental and social projects around the world held its ninth edition between Guayaquil and Miami; starting the celebration in his birthplace Guayaquil (April 18 and 19), to later receive the representatives of all the participating projects in Miami.

Thus, since April 20 and for four consecutive days at the University of Miami, several talks were held with international exponents, environment ministers from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Uruguay, Costa Rica, United Kingdom and the Vice Minister of Dominican Republic.
The long-awaited Awards Gala took place this Sunday, April 24 at the Arsht Center – Knight Concert Hall. This important environmental event in Miami began at 6:00 p.m. with a green carpet directed by Daniela Kosan and Ramon Castro, in which several authorities, celebrities, finalists and special guests showed their sustainable outfit. The broadcast was made live via Instagram Live from the Green Awards networks.
The Awards Gala had the main animation of the Ecuadorian actor Roberto Manrique and the musical intervention of Gente de Zona, Matanza DJs and Lena Burke, who animated and put the public in rhythm with their songs and melodies. In turn, there was the special presence of Sylvia Earle, the National Geographic explorer and expert in marine biology with the record for the deepest walk on the bottom of the sea.
Among the guests during the ceremony, there are: Francis X. Suárez (Mayor of Miami), Cynthia Viteri (Mayor of Guayaquil), José Javier Guarderas (CEO and Co-founder of Green Awards), personalities of the city, such as: Patricia Velásquez , Sonya Smith, Catalina Robayo, Barbara Palacios, Charlie Gillespie, Daniela Kosan, Arap Bethke and Gabriel Coronel. It should be noted that representatives of all the finalist projects of the ninth edition of the Green Awards traveled from several countries such as Peru, Colombia, Guatemala, Spain, among other countries, to Miami to be part of this significant moment for Ibero-America.
Each project was evaluated by a jury made up of international institutions, including the United Nations. The awards were made in the categories: Economy, Biodiversity, Energy, Human Development, Cities, Communication, Waste and Public Policies.
