Green Tax Affects Enterprises Confidence, poll says

The Green Tax has registered a recovery in the previous months, however the companies trust began to decline again in June. According to a poll made by Deloitte the trust fell by 4,4 points less than May.

The new reform imposed by the government pretends to set green taxes for vehicles, drinks and cigarettes. This is one of the main concerns of the executives interviewed. The Deloitte poll revealed that the business confidence index (ICE) fell by 80,1 points.

Another important aspect is that several companies do not perceive an economic improvement and thus new investments are scarce. The 73% of the interviewed consider that such economical environment does not attract investments.

Meanwhile the 67% of the companies informed that their sales used to be higher last year. The 18% said that there were no changes, and a 16% said they had less sales. (AV)
